Wendell J. Ashton collection of the LDS Church 150th Anniversary in England. 1987.

The collection contains a program entitled "A Century and a Half of Shared Dedication" for the 150th anniversary of the LDS Church dinner. It also includes a letter by David Whittaker to the donors, and a letter by Wendell Ashton explaining the receiving of an 1841 Book of Mormon presented to Queen Victoria. Speeches from the dinner are also enclosed, including a copy of the typescript of Ronald Reagan's speech for the anniversary dinner, a message of welcome by Ezra Taft Benson, Gordon B. Hinckley's speech entitled "Truth Has Prevailed," and a response to the Ronald Reagan speech at the anniversary dinner by Sir Rhodes Boyson.

Wendell J. Ashton was born October 31, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Marian Reynolds April 24, 1940.
